Hi everyone!
Just wanted to add a quick post to introduce myself as the new owner and distributer of the Door Monkey in Australia. My name is Kiri and I’m an aussie mum probably just like you. I discovered the door monkey several years ago and cannot imagine life without this ingenious product. And i became the sole Australian distributer because i genuinely believe in and love the Door Monkey and more parents, grandparents and carers deserve to know about it too 🙂

The Door Monkey is such a fantastic design! It is so easy to use and keeps little fingers safe. We have been using one Door Monkey on the bathroom door to prevent our 2 year old boy from getting in as he has learnt how to undo all the drawer latches!

I just want to say a huge thank you to Door Monkey. We absolutely love our Door Monkey, my husband works night shift and finishes at 6am so he sleeps a majority of the day. Our two children aged 3 and 1 would sometimes sneak into the room for hugs and kisses from their daddy so his sleep was getting disturbed, since putting the Door Monkey on our bedroom door he is sleeping so much better and is a lot more refreshed when he wakes up. We recently tried a Door Monkey in our home and found it a fantastic solution for keeping our inquisitive little one from roaming where we didn’t want her to go. We were looking for something that would deter her from entering certain rooms without having to keep all our doors completely shut, as we rely on a through-draft to keep our apartment cool.
I am about to start my Family Day Care and was going through the fun process of child proofing my home. If you’ve ever had to do this as a parent you know how painfully fun it can be. ☺ First it was the drawers, then the child gates around the kitchen, next was the electricity outlets and so on it went. Finally I got to my doors, but how can I stop the little ones from going into those rooms they shouldn’t be in? I have those lever handles on my doors so no product in the market would work. So the hunt began to find a way to lock my doors!
